Applesauce


Ingredientsapple sauce

10 medium-sized apples
1 tbsp water or apple cider
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
-sugar, brown sugar, honey or apricot preserves to taste.

Directions

Peel, core and quarter apples. Place in large saucepan with water or cider. Cover pot and simmer for about 30 minutes or until apples are tender. Leave apples chunky or mash with a fork to desired consistency. Stir in spices and sweetener to taste.

Makes 5 cups.
